Connected.com Review

  Connected.com

Connected.com is a pretty good option for remote backup with only a few drawbacks, the most obvious being the relatively high price tag. At about $75 for 30GB of backups this option is prohibitively expensive for most people.

Connected.com (owned by Iron Mountain) keeps multiple backups of your files (one of the most important components of remote backup), but cannot backup file while they are open. This is a serious drawback for obvious reasons.

Other than the price Connected.com has one other major drawback - it does not provide automatic backups. The major purpose for having a remote backup solution is so you can "set it and forget it" - unfortunately this isn't possible with Connected.

If you are looking for a remote backup provider who has been around for several years and you don't mind paying a few extra bucks then Connected.com might just be the solution for you.
